And the fact that Cher has said publicly that she and Elvis never met puts that photo in doubt.lol

Re: ELVIS & LIZ TALOR
While there is no photographic evidence publicly available, it makes sense that Elvis and Liz would have crossed paths at least once over the years. At the Desert Storm show, he refers to her by only her first name, implying some level of familiarity. Perhaps it was personal.

Given the vast number of biographies on both people, it is significant that not a single mention of any meeting is contained in even one of them.elvisjock wrote:While there is no photographic evidence publicly available, it makes sense that Elvis and Liz would have crossed paths at least once over the years. I scanned the Tayor biographies on Amazon just now and there is no mention of her meeting Elvis.

Funny you should say that because after seeing this topic I went to Books a Million.com and read every single one of Elvis' biographies and I also did not see a single mention of Liz Taylor!Steve G wrote:I scanned the Tayor biographies on Amazon just now and there is no mention of her meeting Elvis.

You never know. The photos of Elvis with Rodney Dangerfield and Johnny Carson come to mind. Neither was made public at the time of the meeting.drjohncarpenter wrote:Given the vast number of biographies on both people, it is significant that not a single mention of any meeting is contained in even one of them.elvisjock wrote:While there is no photographic evidence publicly available, it makes sense that Elvis and Liz would have crossed paths at least once over the years. Hey, "some collector dude" has a 1957 photo -- case closed!intheghetto wrote:They were talking about this on the George Klein show the other day on Sirius/XM. GK said that Elvis and Liz never met, but then some collector dude that the other DJ on the show, Big Jim, said he knew personally emailed and said that he had a photo of Elvis with Liz in 1957.
I guess this can be filed under the ever popular and forever debated 'Elvis Mystery Acquaintance' category.

I don't recall a "Liz" reference, but Taylor was a staple of the "movie magazines" at that time. You know, the ones that Elvis called "junk."Mike C wrote:Where on the Desert Storm disc does he make this reference?

By the summer of 2050, EPE will be renting out Graceland, to keep the money rolling in. 25k per week lets you sleep in Elvis' bed. For only 10k per week, you get Charlie's room. Full racketball and pool access. Bring your own horse.drjohncarpenter wrote:Yes, you are right. Maybe in 2050 a photo will surface.elvisjock wrote:You never know. Elvis talks bout his ring containing one of the biggest diamonds and says "Elizabeth has got the biggest ....and the biggest diamond too! Elvis' joke is more benign, it's in reference to her bosom.

Elvis didn't make crude stage comments about a woman's ... "love tunnel."

Re: ELVIS & LIZ TALOR
I wonder if the alleged 1957 photo is the fake one earlier in this thread?
The poor man's Liz Taylor, Joan Collins, says in her autobiography that she met Elvis at a party at Rock Hudsons' home and that E looked awkward and out of place, and that she sympathized with him.
Fellow Dynasty star Linda Evans of Beach Blanket Bingo fame also says she met Elvis at parties back in the sixties and that he was a sweet man.
I don't know how many movie stars he would've met in these sorts of Beverly Hills soirees or how often he attended.

There are no other known examples of Elvis growling "F?ck YOU!" at an audience member other than the one - but nevertheless, he said it, unfortunately.
