I'm Beginning to Forget You.

I was just playing the Legendary Performer, Volume 4 cassette and I noticed that this song sounds diffrent than the version on The Home Recordings CD. Can anyone confirm if this is a diffrent version, or is the version on the Home Recordinngs edited. It could be just the diffrence between formats.

Thanks in advance,

Wrong-0, they are different. His phrasing is different in parts but is the same at other parts. One version was pliced with another take.

I was just listening to "the home recordings" and "in a private moment", and have noticed how many songs Ersnt either fades in or fades out early. I am tired of that!

It’s reasonable to assume that due to the condition of the tapes used for the “Home Recordings” CD that there would most likely be damage to some parts of the tapes, or some songs may have been recorded over, and only partial versions remain on the tape. This would explain any fade-ins or fade-outs. I doubt Ernst edits performances for no reason.
