Hi Guys would like to know from oher fans if you could organise a set list for Elvis to Perform say around 1969-1972 of just movie songs what would your set list be.

my fantasty set list would be this.

1.Opening song Speedway with long intro for Elvis to walk out get the band cookin

2.Slowly But Surely-James Burton would be a killer on this

3.Stop Look and Listen-Would love to watch Tutt going nuts on the drums and the sweets doing the Hey's Hey's

4.The Love Machine-Some people might find this strange but i think Elvis would of had lots of fun with this kissed many girls and played around simular to when he did love me tender.

5.Treat Me Nice-From my 3rd movie Jailhouse rock folks

6.King Crelole-To be honest this song speaks a million words-Surprised Elvis never tried it live great lyrics

7.Aint Loving you Baby

8.G.I Blues Again would of been mint watching him do this song again would involve the whole band the Sweets and male voices would of loved it Elvis looking over with the eye contact and smiles

9.Shoppin Around-Ok James hit it that great guitar at the start great tune again Elvis would of nailed it.For some reason i can also picture Charlie Hodge going nuts on the vocals in the back ground hehe

10.I Slipped i Stumbled i fell-Can you imagine this Elvis and JD with the low notes again another fun song i reckon Elvis would of cracked up with the lyrics

11.Spinout-Another car tune but it's one of my favourites again some great lyrics

12.Kissin Cousins again Elvis and James would of been great same with Tutt another fun song- Elvis would of clowned around did the country boy voice

Since when was Welcome to my World and Guitar Man in a movie?

If we are looking at this in a "serious" way, the only songs that would have worked would have been those that could have had a life outside of the movie, and really on Good Time Charlie and Bobc appear to have taken this into account. When looking at the movie songs and, say, a 1969 performance, it's surprising how many of the songs from the final post-formula movies would have worked in that context. My own list;
