I have just heard about the death of Lamar Fike... I have not got any more info, but I am personally sad about it. I thought he was okay...

It is getting a bit depressing... I was watching the 1977 CBS Special last night and it really hit me that several people on it (apart from Elvis) are no longer with us:

Charlie Hodge
Myrna Smith
Sylvia Shemwell
Sherrill Nielsen
JD Sumner
Ed Parker

Elvis loved Lamar. They were as close as brothers, 22 years of love and dysfunction. He was very witty man, too. R.I.P. Lamar.

Rest In Peace Lamar. I liked his sense of humor. Very often misunderstood, Lamar was always outspoken and he shot from the hip, but once you broke through his hard exterior you found a soft, caring giant who often cried when talking about Elvis.

So sad to hear about Lamar. He was one of the key players in the Elvis Story and obviously one hell of a character.

R. I. P. Lamar

I feel I'm growing old... :(

So many Elvis people I've met before already gone:

- Myrna Smith
- Charlie Hodge
- Al Dvorin

(BTW, Ed Bonja isn't doing well either, he just had a check up in a german hospital.)

When the evening shadows fall
And you're wondering who to call
For a little company
There's always me
