CD:2 - August 12th 1970 MS - Fantastic concert, every song is performed brilliantly and probably my favourite live versions of love me, words, and sweet caroline.

Been really enjoying Elvis' August 1970 shows recently including the excellent Rick Rennie audience recordings from August 19th - 21st. All the shows from this Vegas season were top-notch to say the least! ::rocks

Las Vegas, September 2, 1974 Closing show. Worthy of FTD release. See See Rider would need to be borrowed from 30-8-74 show (previously released as Night Fever in Vegas).

The Wonder of You - FTD, very good concert, with one of the best performances of Polk Salad Annie and a beautifull version of You've Lost That Loving Feeling. Great CD !!

Yesterday I gave Fort Baxter's "Desert Storm" a spin. There are a few good performances, but for the most part Elvis is shouting more than singing and with his monologues he made a fool of himself. I had not listened to this recording for quite a while, but since yesterday I once again know why I had avoided it for such a long time. :(

The show was recently re-released in much better sound by Touchdown - named "Midnight Delight".

The last concert I listened to was the Midnight Show of August 19, 1973 as released on Touchdown's "Glitter Of The Nightlife". For an audience recording the quality is really stunning and the show itself includes some gems like "What Now My Love", "Help Me Make It Through The Night" and "An American Trilogy". :D

No 'm not Cisco, i think the sound is awesome for these type of recordings.
Just listen to the "Bathroom story" on the old Baxter release (Request box shows) and then this one.
I'ts like night and day.
I think they even use this source on the Audionics release...

I have the Touchdown version release on order, expect it in a few days.

Sure..Johan...compared with the old release its an improvement..but it doesn`t stand in a row with these
top notch soundbooth recordings we have like the recent ones from SA or the well-known
