Yeah it should not matter how old a topic is. Someone reads it and feels compelled to give their two cents worth. That’s the beauty of this forum. I find this topic really interesting.

Thanks for the kind words.
Discovering that the conventional wisdom about the Christmas album re-release was 100% wrong, and that this incorrect information was simply parroted by anyone and everyone for decades, was absolutely a surprise. And it was a thrill to share my findings here.

Re: Elvis' Christmas Album --> Mystery No More?
Speaking of Elvis' Christmas Album, I'm in the store right now looking at a brand new copy, still sealed, pressed by Del Rey records.
I had no idea this was even out but the asking price Is $40.
Could anyone please help me in their opinions of what they think of this ??

$40 for music you probably have at least 5 times in your collection. I don't think so.

Well let me ask what's wrong with revisiting old threads ???
Whatever I find interesting, (and to refresh my memory), I go back to old posts, even though they come up on my main page when the page loads.
Is that breaking a code ??
Am I not at a privilege for regulations ??

You didn't answer the question and besides, that's not the point. Please pay attention.

I have a VG copy of the 1957 original, that's enough for me. But if this new version has all the goodies inside, why not?

Re: Elvis' Christmas Album --> Mystery No More?
My favorite Elvis Christmas vinyl will always be the RCA (Camden) release from 1970.
Was very happy to acquire a mint sealed copy on rigid vinyl. Sounds glorious.

Re: Elvis' Christmas Album --> Mystery No More?
That '57 Christmas album is my first memory of ever seeing and hearing Elvis. My mom and dad had it for a few years by the time I came along. It didn't mean a whole lot then.
