Tupelo 1945 audio (Hey, it's a loooooong shot ... but it could be stored somewhere!)

Pied Piper

Uncle Penn etc

Southern Doughnuts commercial audio

Wedding press conference audio

1968 blue shirt rehearsal audio

1968 press conference video/audio

1969 press conference video/audio

Aloha first rehearsal audio

1970s pro shot (ie TV/movie company not fan-shot) footage. (No mystery there actually ... we all know the answer already).

Erased apparently.

No great loss.

I presume you know there's a hidden track at the end of The Jungle Room Sessions - the final few seconds of the song?

Have some flippin' respect, will you??

"If the songs don't go over, we can do a medley of costumes!" - Elvis Presley (August 10, 1970 backstage in his dressing room before the first show of the August, 10, 1970/September 8, 1970 season in Vegas).

I'd like to hear it.

That goes without saying, I guess -- as much as I find the song a bit much, I'd be all over hearing his tryouts of "Feelings" if I had the chance, for that matter -- but I seem to recall that Elvis improvised new lyrics that he used in the studio version of "America, The Beautiful," that were not especially soaringly patriotic, and that perhaps that's why it was erased. Worth a listen, anyway, if it was still somehow out there on some source.

I agree with a lot of the choices given already, including the 'blue shirt' session from '68, the 8/1/69 press conference in sound or sound-and-picture, and so on. The '50s is something of a black hole for us in many ways, none more so than the Sun years -- it'd be great to know, once and for all, what the truth is behind the long list of songs rumored to have been recorded (or done live) while with Sun and what, exactly, still exists.

I'm sure I could think of quite a few open questions -- some rather in the big-picture vein and some pretty trivial (setlists, attire, etc). For such a scrutinized figure, it's surprising there're still so many unanswered questions surrounding Elvis' direct activities. Of course, conflicting testimony from those present, whose viewpoints may have been rendered dubious by one or all of (i) the inevitability of time and viewing angle (including drug-induced hazes) changing things, (ii) an agenda for spite or profit, and (iii) outright lying, doesn't help...

That should be considered as the second rehearsal, since it occurred on January 13th IIRC.
Weren't there just some soundchecks anyway on the 13th?

Lawdy Miss Clawdy

The Wonder Of You
Teddy Bear
Don't Be Cruel
How Great Thou Art
I Got A Woman

Francesc, i don t understand this animosity towards me
like many, i started topics that i m not proud but others i m proud
for example, i was the very first guy to ask who was a black man with EP on a picture, and it turned out to be "clyde mc phatter" ( according to doc ) ...

It was done during the day on the 12th "to iron out any technical difficulties" (Elvis Day By Day) - and other sources.

Hence, first rehearsal.

If anyone has the book in which the pic is featured (I don't), perhaps another date is given?
