I remember reading in a respected Elvis publication, only a few years ago, that someone had this item. But don't forget, it's only half a minute or so duration!mark wrote:What i am saying is that 2 two records i was talking about was to be used for a short time and then destroyed and they turned up at yard sales
And maybe The Southern Maid Donuts ad still can turn up

More than eight years later, we're still ... "wishing and hoping" ...
Fertile ground remains:
- film set "wrap parties," where Elvis performed, like "Clambake" or "Charro!"
- home demos, 1956 to 1977
- live show rehearsals, 1969 to 1975
- radio broadcasts or in-station visits, 1955 to 1957
- live concert recordings, 1955 to 1977

We´ve discussed the 1969 rehearsals here before. What a gem that would be.

Doc, when I read the first time Jerry Hopkins first book about Elvis (published in 1982 in Romania) I was mesmerized. I was a teenager back then, but I became an Elvis fan since then. Thanks a lot for this wonderful topic.

I also think that The FInal Years was a really good attempt at telling the sad tale of Elvis' demise - I've always loved some of the stories told in this book, and it's less dry than Careless Love.
