And maybe The Southern Maid Donuts ad still can turn up
I remember reading in a respected Elvis publication, only a few years ago, that someone had this item. But don't forget, it's only half a minute or so duration!

More than eight years later, we're still ... "wishing and hoping" ...

Fertile ground remains:

- film set "wrap parties," where Elvis performed, like "Clambake" or "Charro!"

- home demos, 1956 to 1977

- live show rehearsals, 1969 to 1975

- radio broadcasts or in-station visits, 1955 to 1957

- live concert recordings, 1955 to 1977

We´ve discussed the 1969 rehearsals here before. What a gem that would be.

Doc, when I read the first time Jerry Hopkins first book about Elvis (published in 1982 in Romania) I was mesmerized. I was a teenager back then, but I became an Elvis fan since then. Thanks a lot for this wonderful topic.

I also think that The FInal Years was a really good attempt at telling the sad tale of Elvis' demise - I've always loved some of the stories told in this book, and it's less dry than Careless Love.
