The MxF label will soon release its Forth CD titled ''American Glory!'' featuring the complete show from Las Vegas, Hilton Hotel December 06, 1975 MS and part of the opening night of the same Season. The concert is previously unreleased, here you have the opportunity to listen to a slice of the December ‘75 season without doubt one of the best moments of Elvis in 1975, the use of two great tapes make the rest. We are not talking of original tapes but due to the very good quality we are talking of two tapes came from an early generation copy of the master tapes. The audio-quality of the recording is really good, well balanced with not too heavy an audience intrusion and with the right feeling of an Elvis’ concert.

Elvis' performance in both the shows is superb; Elvis in spite of being overweight is still at the top of his musical ability, very intense and active on the stage. We are talking about one of his best seasons and very successful in terms of audience numbers considering that Las Vegas in December is a dead city, but not for Elvis. Both shows do not really have any low points as Elvis sings with intensity and delivers a solid repertoire, not too much space for the classic oldies but a more mature repertoire for the original rock singer with pop songs performed for the majority.

Among the highlights are powerful performances of "Polk Salad Annie", "America The Beautiful", "Burning Love", "Just Pretend" , while on Opening Night we have "It’s Midnight,” performed with absolute show-stopping brilliance and the rare version of “You’ve Lost the Love Feeling” and “ My Boy”.

The packaging will come with a 12 page booklet professionally edited, picture disc, relevant liner notes, original memorabilia and more than 15 photographs covering practically all of the seasons jumpsuits. These are two great shows... the package, the 79,52 minutes of superb music give us definitely something unique We Hope The Definitive one in reference to Elvis’ December 1975 Vegas Season. Don’t miss it!!!!

CD Total Time 79.52 min.

Actually, on the elviscrawler, all shows of the December 75 Vegas season have Trying To Get To You. Where is it on American Glory?

This show exists on soundboard (3 songs-'Just Pretend','How Great Thou Art' and 'America The Beautiful'- from this show was released by BMG on the 'Live In Las Vegas' box set).
There are only a very few avaiable soundboards from this season so there's a good chance that FTD will release it one day. So why would i buy a most likely bad sounding,2nd or 3rd generation audience recording?
The cover looks good,though.

Hi,

so is it the "real" complete December 6 MS show ? Or is it missing "Tryin' To Get To You" (due to a tape flip at 30m) ?

See You

Vince

A "tape flip" took up an entire song?

I've recorded many live concerts and I can tell you that a proper "tape flip" should not take longer than one line of a song.

Just Pretend was only sung in one show of this day.
Acc.to Tunzi the version on the Live In Vegas box springs from the MS.
We also have this song and the same setlist on the 2007 release Fairytale In Vegas..there wrongly dated DS.
Now Or Never at the end here seems a fake to me since it is missing on the CDR we have and on the release the previous year, too.

Thanks to Ernst Joergensen, Roger Semon and Erik Rasmussen for the great work. Keep the spirit alive !

It remains a mystery which show they actually publish on American Glory.

It cannot be the Dec 6 MS as listed on elviscrawler, the setlist is different and the running times of the song are different.

If it should be the Dec 6 DS as listed on elviscrawler, then the following songs are missing on American Glory.

Trying To Get To You
One Night
Mystery Train/Tiger Man

And then the following songs are added to American Glory.

Hound Dog
Just Pretend
It's Now Or Never

:?: :?: :?:

Yeah, but one thing is sure: BMG have both shows on soundboard in the vaults!
It's just a question of time when they will release them in more complete form. According to a soundboard list, the D/S is incomplete, but the M/S is complete:

12/06/75 Las Vegas Hilton Show (incomplete)
12/06/75 Las Vegas Hilton Show (complete)

By the way,i have a feeling that the concert on this upcoming CD was compiled from at least 2 different shows. Of course they 'forgot' to mention it...

My thoughts exactly..my selists at crawler are correct ..I always compared with the actual shows..
In this case the setlist matches the MS we have on CDR and import Fairytale In Vegas but Now Or Never..this must be a fake insert...FORGET THIS C-R-A-P......

Thanks to Ernst Joergensen, Roger Semon and Erik Rasmussen for the great work. Keep the spirit alive !

Yes, I recorded every show from July 31, 1969 to June 26, 1977. These sound better than anything Straight Arrow could ever release. I also filmed some stage rehearsals in Las Vegas on July 30, 1969. I'll make everyone free copies if you'd like.

Ask a silly question...............
