we know acetates of unreleased alt takes of some songs where the tapes are lost.
the question is wonder why these didn't end up any ftd or rca official release?
gotta find my baby unedited wolf call outtake?
wonder if more lost tracks exist on acetates that have not any more.documented or found yet?
i would hope so especially from the roustabout and kissin cousins sessions.
wish the tapes could be located on the lost 1960s sessions. it's probily unlikely that there anymore 50s session tapes will be found. we all hope though. any possibly that these exist at all?
acetates and lost tapes

Re: acetates and lost tapes
Stuff like "Soldier boy" from acetate was released on bootleg years ago, but the reels of outtakes were found for FTD, so they provided a better sound source. Most of Elvis' alternates are from tape source. The best acetate to be discovered in recent years was "I'm a roustabout".
The "Girl Happy" FTD should be redone to include the correct FULL versions, plus the MASTER of "You'll be gone"!!
