Elvis singing Pat Boone songs!
I remember Ernst J. in an interview reading that through headphones he heard EP singing PB songs that were obviously recorded over....with new technology and sound forensics ( FBI or police would try to bring sound up to incriminate murderer or what have you)...I think this should be looked into and as Colin says...'I T W S be told"!!!

Drink...or
Boone did an lp of EP songs...but was not aloud to use his name...so his record company stuck on a blacked out pic.

Well actually the LP was released under the title PAT SINGS GUESS WHO!. It was a genuine attempt as a tribute album.iamhekev wrote:Drink...or

The tracks were in a Pat Boone style rather than an Elvis style.
Both artists respected one another.

Re: Elvis singing Pat Boone songs!
I think the thread is about Elvis singing over Pat Boone songs.
Elvis would have done a great version of 'Speedy Gonzales'.
I can see it now in the film 'Fun In Acapulco'.

Could be an interesting tape to release as is. I would expect that Elvis voicewould be the dominant factor and the Boone and band very much in the background. Perhaps there is a legal problem here.
I can't envisage anyway of taking Boones voice off without destroying the Elvis contribution.

I thought Elvis was singing some Pat Boone songs, they'd been recorded over [by something else] but were still audible in the background...................

Elvis did record some Pat Boone songs - Tutti Frutti, for example.

Neither Elvis or Pat Boone recorded a song called 'for example'.
