Behind the im***: Elvis knew he'd die at 42?

#425018

Post by Jovan »

Hello friends,

I have just been watching "Behind the im*** - vol. 1", where Kathy Westmoreland says that when she met Elvis for the first time, he told her he'd die at 42??

Is this only BS, or is there some truth in her claim?

Kathy is one of the propagators of the "Elvis had cancer" garbage, so her words must be taken lightly. There is no doubt in 1977 she saw him feeling -- at times -- very depressed. But she wasn't the only one.

Probably just had a long hard look at himself in the mirror that last year.... and the situation he found himself in.

I think that Elvis knew that his health wasn't the best and he knew in what situation he had gotten himself into. Maybe the felt, that he had not the power to change his life at that point. He certainly knew he was destroying himself.

But he supposedly said this when they first met - before the real decline.

Dont let David Stanley see this Topic heading.

It might give him an idea to bring out a book or even a film.

Didn't he believe that he would die early like his mom. How old was she? At one point I thought 42 but I can't remember anymore.

46. Thanks. I'm still thinking that he always felt that he would die young like his mom.

I wish I could back it up but am coming up blank at the moment (or as usual)

Let's just say it's a pity she didn't make this claim when Elvis was alive.

That would have added a touch of veracity to it............................

I don't think he knew he was going to die at 42...I think he knew he was really ill in health, and that he was destroying his self with the horrible eating habbits and the drug abuse.

Yeah but even as late as 1972 he was pretty healthy. In 1970 I don't think he had any real thoughts of, or was in any danger of, dying . The only reason he could have said something like this is because of the short lifespans in his family.

Elvis did like reading books about numbers.

1977+8+16 = 2001.
