... says Elvis after the breakdown of take 1 of “A boy like me, a girl like you", as you can hear on the new FTD soundtrack.
Does anyone get the words exchanged right before that?
I get "clinkers" but I can't understand what Thorne Nogar is uttering.
Who does and would be so kind to transcribe the complete dialogue between take 1 and take 2?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe the chime bells used on this recording were leaking into the recording? A "kill the bells" situation, as in the "Blue Hawaii" sessions. Also, as it was, I believe, the last song to be recorded on that day (march 27th), they couldn't spend too much time on it. The studio time was up. That's my take on it.

Hi Tony,
thx for your answer. Like you, I think it has something to do with the chime bells, but I really would like to know the words Elvis and Nogar are exchanging.
Since English is not my mothe language I am really at a loss to understand them, inparticular Nogar.
Time was pressing, certainly, but they had recorded most of the stuff by the end of March 27, and there was yet another full day before them.
When Elvis says that they can't spend too much time on the song, it's no compliment on the writers of the tune, I think.. Just my two cents.

Maybe. In that case, "Song of the shrimp" should have been done in one take!!Manhattoe wrote:Hi Tony,

It should have been!! IMO take 1 of Song Of The Shrimp is the best take.TONY wrote:Maybe. In that case, "Song of the shrimp" should have been done in one take!!Manhattoe wrote:Hi Tony,
