The video is back on youtube again !

I personally really feel this latest release could end up being just as important as ALLC at least in the sense of Elvis again getting the right publicity, Where the media is not talking about a ETA or anything else silly. Bottom line Elvis is back being in the public eye again in a COOL way !

I should point out there appears to be an issue with someone getting intouch with youtube every few hours about a copyright issue, so the video maybe deleted again, however I was emailed through Agostino and he has said his Lawyers are on it and hopefully the problem will be corrected for all concern.

Keep in mind this remix has stayed on itunes through this ordeal taking place over the copyright issue.

It appears the single for Canada will arrive next month. USA we have a tentative release date set for the 24 of Dec. Italy, Finland, Sweden and Norway will be the first territories to release the single sometime later this month or early next month. Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Holland, Belgium and UK has the track available from today as exclusive download from the iTUNES store.

So please keep this in mind.

Bottom line, whatever anyone may think of this video and remix good or bad it is all still good in the end, because we are talking about the REAL ELVIS here !

This video is also posted in our "The Best of Elvis on YouTube & Other Video Sites" forum.

The press release:

November 16th, 2007 press release

HISTORIC REMIX OF ELVIS PRESLEY'S BABY LET'S PLAY HOUSE HAS EVERYONE TALKING

NEW REMIXED PRESLEY SONG BY A CONTEMPORARY DJ/ARTIST IS RELEASED: SPANKOX (OF CLUB ANTHEM TO THE CLUB FAME) BRINGS ELVIS' VOICE BACK TO RADIOS AND CLUBS WORLDWIDE FOR THE THIRD TIME AFTER CHART-TOPPERS A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION AND RUBBERNECKIN'

Recognized worldwide as one of the most influential figures in music and pop culture, Elvis Presley is today on the verge of another career milestone, exactly 30 years after his death. Presley's classic Baby Let's Play House, re-mixed by progressive DJ/producer Spankox, will be released in several territories as a commercial single on the 10th of December.

Canada, Italy, Finland, Sweden and Norway will be the first territories to release the single and the reaction has been a mix of delight, surprise and respect. In Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Holland, Belgium and UK the track is available from today as exclusive download from the iTUNES store.

Spankox (his real name is Agostino Carollo) is a Verona (Italy) based progressive DJ/producer/composer who most recently wrote and produced the club classic "To The Club" and has produced and remixed tracks for Roxette, Snap! and Vasco Rossi (Italy's n.1 rockstar) among the others. This release of his treatment to the Elvis classic marks the third time in history that a Presley song that has been remixed by a contemporary DJ/artist will be will mass market: the first two, Rubberneckin' (remixed in 1998 by American DJ Paul Oakenfols) and A Little Less Conversation (remixed in 2003 by Dutch DJ JXL) were wordwide hits, selling millions of copies.

"Initially, we're always wary of anything that involves altering Elvis' master recordings in any way, but this Spankox Re:Version is fantastic and just blew us away. Elvis is a great and constant source of inspiration for the creativity of other artists, and this is an outstanding example of that," said Tom Holzen, President of EP Ltd.

"The Spankox Re:Version of Baby Let's Play House will deliver Elvis to a new generation of music fans in an unexpected, cool and compelling way," said Edward Johnson, Brand Partnership Marketing Manager of ELPR Inc.

After the digital release, the physical release of the record will be on CDvinyl: it's a special compact disc playable in a normal CD player but also by a traditional 33rpm turntable. The packaging of this original Elvis Presly CDvinyl, which is indeed a charming collectable item, will also be very special and will resemble that of a 12" vinyl. It will include a radio edit version, an extended version and the original Presley song. Also, as bonus, the ringtone and the fantastic videoclip (that can also be already watched on YouTube) will be included in the disc.

The United States release is tentatively set to Dec. 24th, although negotiations are still in process.

Thanks a lot PEP
The remix is fantastic, of course with certain imitation of ALLC but still very cool to listen to.I love it. I can't get why it was so severely criticized by some fans.

Thank you, PEP.

This I like.

It has some wit and style - could be a winner.

Good doing, PEP.

More history in the making?

I don't like it as much as the ALLC remix, but I rate it above the "Rubberneckin'" attempt.

I don't blame people for being cynical over these remixes, for they carry the underlying implication that Elvis' original material is out-of-date and needs improving -- an implication that the start of this new music video makes explicit. Of course, some of us don't really see that, or at the least, don't let us bother us, but it's worth remembering.

So, yeah .... this new mix is pretty cool, but I sense I'll grow tired of it pretty quickly. Unlike ALLC and RN, they picked a CLASSIC tune to remix, and not merely some mid-late 60's movie trinket. That alone could provoke a flurry of different responses to the last two attempts from EP fans. We'll see.

I don't like it, but I didn't like the 'A Little Less Conversation' remix either at first - What do I know?

Perhaps it'll grow on me like the 'A Little Less Conversation' remix did ?!?

Pep this is confusing: a few days ago this clip was removed to the off-topic section, now this latest release (BLPH Rmx) could end up being just as important as ALLC at least in the sense of Elvis again getting the right publicity ? And yes - I hope the song will get the right publicity - but how realistic is that really?

Hi E-Cat on November 13th "mr burrows" first posted the first link to the youtube post of the remix song "Baby Lets Play House" where I did move it, like I would any video posted in the "ALL Elvis" section to the "The Best of Elvis on YouTube & Other Video Sites" where within less than 12 hours the video was deleted partly by youtube for the audio because of a copyright issue, they left the video there tho, where the user inreturn deleted the video from youtube shortly afterwards, because what was the point of leaving it there without audio. Within lets say another 12 hours the user or rather the DJ Agostino reposted the video "Baby Lets's Play House" for the 2nd time, during this time you posted the latest information regarding the release information of the single dates at which time Narek had just posted the link to the video again, however the video was soon deleted a 2nd time by youtube and again by DJ Agostino because of the copyright issue. Agostino has now reposted the video for the 3rd time, where I hope third time will be the charm and it will stay.

In hindsight I should have merged the threads or moved back the first thread back to the "ALL Elvis" section however I did not want to make a mistake an accidentally delete anything as I have done before by not doing it correctly so I thought it would be best just to make it easier and repost, As I just wanted this new remix to be seen by as many members as possible, as I soon recognized this was more than just a average remix job on a Elvis song. At the same time I felt this was an exception to the rule and that's why this was posted here once again and a sticky was added so as many members as possible would see this fine video.

With respect to whether or not this could be as big as ALLC, this remix may have a tougher climb to get there, as the ALLC had the backing of a twenty million dollar commercial by NIKE behind it where eventually RCA/BMG took notice of what was happening by the listening public where EPE was doing the same and both got behind it to help it become Number One.

Actually I think they helped out only after the fact, once it was almost to the number one spot.

This remix it appears is still having some copyright issues with someone, however once these issues are resolved maybe SONY/RCA/BMG will get behind it, then again maybe not, if they don't, unlikely EPE/CKx will either and in return that will be a problem maybe for the success of where this remix will fit in the cycle.

Nevertheless Elvis needs something like this again for the general public to take notice of Elvis' Genius, here will have a classic song from 1955' turning some heads again and in return the ETA's are forgotten about again for a while as Elvis will gain some creditability back.

Bottom line SONY/BMG/RCA should take notice of this in a positive way and so should EPE/CKx, where they should get their head out of the sand and forget about the ETA's all together and get back to focusing on Elvis the Man and His Music 100%.

Hell, maybe everyone that is an employee of SONY/BMG/RCA and EPE/CKx should be forced to sign up for a membership of Elvis Fan Club Magazine "Elvis The Man and His Music" and maybe they we all learn something.

I listened to it once and it's ok.

I'll probably have to listen to the remix a few more times for a better assessment, but, IMHO, anything that focuses on Elvis' music can only be a good thing ...

I hope that this remix does it's job, gets great exposure and becomes, yet, another #1 for Elvis.

It's obviously very professionaly done, but this 'dance remix' lark is very 1990's. However, I shall be playing it at the London Fan Club Christmas party, for the first time, at The Minories , on December 1st. Some remixes go down well there with the fairly young crowds we get there every month.

If you wanna read some really narrow minded comments regarding the
remix and video, do go to Elvisnews.com site. I had myself locked off from
them, because the greatest of great morons post there. Nothing wrong with
the site itself though. But several times when I did post there to set things
straight, the answers to my comments were just too stupid for words. Many
dont know fok about his career, and its all too obvious, never read a book
on his body of music. Right now, they are complaining about the sexual
'feel' of the video... for christ sake! What do these people think ? Do they
never see the real porn rap clips on mtv these days?! Play House is tame
compared to the hard stuff you can look up on music channels, every day
of the week, even on sunday morning... when some of these out of touch
christian hypocrits read their bible in church.

F A N T A S T I C....Can be another number 1 for Elvis....I guess this release form works great....One remix each year and Elvis will be in the charts forever. Forget the purists, we already have the original ones and these remixes can do a lot for the new generation, by the way, we can see how the Elvis voice is actual and strong and the voice it´s the only thing that´s matter. Elvis will be proud about this...Congratulations to all involved in the project.

I like it and Elvis' voice is more audible than in ALLC. It can be used to promote Elvis' products and to improve his image for new generations. We'll see.
