" 6'2" in his stocking feet with a build like an oak tree" ?

Laughable, on both counts!

Yeah, but the first comment 'he drives a pink cadillac' is followed by: [true].

The 2nd comment about his height & build is 'continued on page 3'.

So on this mysterious 'page 3' they might have continued with: [untrue] mightn't they ?

This RCA article is dated Dec. 2 and he signed with RCA on Nov. 21st.

They re-released the latest Sun single (Myster train/ I forgot) on Dec. 2.

They wait til dec. 20th to re-release the other 4 singles.

So things moved really fast.

Always good to see contemporary articles to get the view of Elvis at a particular point in time. Thanks for posting E-Cat.

Now, how do you get hold of those sports caps! :-)

Elvis bought the Pink Cadillac in 1956.
When did Elvis meet The Jordanaires for the first time and did he sing with The Jordanaires in 1955?
I thought the first meeting with the Jordanaires was on 10 January 1956.

Gordon Stoker first sang with Elvis on the 11th January, 1956, on the song I Was The One.

He did the backing vocals along with Ben & Brock Speer.

Elvis bought a 54 pink and white one in April of 55, it burned 3 month later. In September of 55 he bought 55 pink and black one.
