Q&A about Elvis in this week's Parade magazine

#375562

Post by elvis4life »

This won't be on their online version till this Tuesday:

http://www.parade.com/articles/editions/2007/edition_07-08-2007/Personality_Parade

So until then, here's what it said:

Q: Ever since Elvis died, I have wondered who inspired his
shake, rattle 'n' roll moves.-Felix B., Miami, FL.

A: "As a young man, he idolized a gospel group called The
Statesmen," says Joe Moscheo, Elvis' backup singer &
lifelong friend. "He was inspired by their bass singer, 'Big
Chief' Wetherington, who was famous for his leg twitching." Moscheo's book "The Gospel Side Of Elvis" is
due out 8/13-3 days before the 30th anniversary of the
King's death.

Who was Joe Moscheo? Which backup group?

Thgis smacks of "reporter interviewing his typewriter" deal.

When you get to the point where you really understand your computer, it's probably obsolete

I'll remember you
Long after this endless summer is gone
I'll be lonely oh so lonely
Living only to remember you
