Practical suggestions to improve the remix

Tue Jul 22, 2003 5:53 pm

Hi - It might be that somebody from BMG is looking this MB and that if we give some good practical suggestions they might think of implement some.

I will start with mine:

1. Add a bit more intrumentation, now it seems like elvis is singing over a drum and sounds - especially a good guitar even taken from original tapes would be excellent, also the origianal bass line would be great

2. make Elvis voice a bit clearer

3. Add some break into the song otherwise it sounds too much the same

Personally, I'd hope they scrap this remix and do "Little Sister"- as
to me it always was kind of funky and still doesn't sound dated
and had a fresh modern rock feel to it. I feel this track remixed would
work better. Whadda ya think?

Too late in the day. I doubt BMG will change anything now.
But then again this may give BMG ideas to give us a different mix as "bonus" track for the next 25 FTD/Box sets to come !

I agree
NO compression on Elvis's voice!!!!!!!
and accentuate the horns!

Too much echo! By the way did anyone notice that the AOL mix is now exactly the same time down to the last second as the Groove mix. Both are 3 minutes and 26 seconds. And both mixed in London! Strange!

With ALLC having been a No.1 world-wide, BMG hardly need advice from us on how to remix an Elvis song.
