From an album point of view, nothing (yet!!) compares to my first listen of Jungle Room Sessions.
It was all fresh as it had not been booted, the sound was great and the outtakes/studio chatter was spine tinglingly good!!
I doubt I will ever approach that level of "excitement" with a new album, but I live in hope

Defintely, in my opinion, the best and most exciting release since Elvis left the building has been the 70's masters box set. Along with the song titles mentioned in other posts it also included 'I Shall be Released', 'Something' (1970), the bluesy take of 'She thinks I still Care' Tiger Man Jam(1975), One hundred Years from Now' Studio masters of For the Good Times and My Way, Stranger in My own hometown (rehearsal). I'm probably forgetting a few other gems as well. I was probably the most excited in the build up to this release than any other and when it arived and hit the sound system it was like good sex and rated a 10 in 'Ah.....' department.
For anyone who is interested and who has not yet got this release it is now selling for £20 pounds in Fopp records. It's now packaged in a slimar box and not the LP size format.Who said record collecting was a good investment it cost me £ 60 in '95

This was indeed another aha experience for me..I was breaking up just like Elvis..Cryogenic wrote: And who can ever forget hearing the laughing version of "Are You Lonesome Tonight" for the first time?
..another one was hearing Tweedle Dee on Elvis The Entertainer boot vinyl...it was the first song I heard which was just released on boot and not officially...
...yes and the super fast take of Frankfort Special on one of the Legendary Performer Volumes..one of the fastest songs ever recorded..
Thanks to Ernst Joergensen, Roger Semon and Erik Rasmussen for the great work. Keep the spirit alive !

Watching the complete Omaha 77 show was a true marvel. It was at that moment that it became apparent a deluxe edition of EIC needed to be issued with both complete concerts in remastered 5.1 surround sound.
In all seriousness, there have been some great ones. Finally hearing a complete live show from August 1970 from multi-track tapes on the TTWII-SE package was pretty cool.

Jungle Room
The first time I heard "It`s easy for you" was actually on the Jungle room sessions. "What a voice" I think it`s really great and I could`nt believe that this was the same song when I later heard it on the Moody blue cd, what on earth did they do that for in the first place

Same for me. I's Easy for You came a complete different song for me when it was released on the FTD label. So fresh and clear. Instead of the original version when it seemed that Elvis had recorded that song in a telephone booth or whatever. I played that song for over 20 times at a row that first time ....

"I'm A Roustabout" was superb and I spun it to death!
The most "golly gosh!!!!" moment for me though was THE LOST PERFORMANCES.
I'd never heard about it's existence when I recieved a copy from a friend out of the blue about a month before it was out in the UK.
Outtakes from TTWII and ON TOUR were like a dream come true, but disciovering that he actually sang live versions of Twenty Days and Twenty Nights, Just Pretend and There Goes My Everything were enough to make me faint!
Normally, these kind of rare live gems were only issued from audience tapes on bootleg LP's. But to have them in professional sound with multi angles MGM footage was amazing and the rehearsal section was acomplete shock too, with 1970 takes of Baby Let's Play House, I Was The One, Money Honey and Don't!!!
