Somewhat related.

Most U.S. Presidents like(d) to watch movies in the White House (and Camp David, among other screening locales). Kind of interesting to see that Mr. Nixon had free time enough to view more than 500 films while serving as President. Complete list of all films.

re tapes: If Elvis would have visited President Kennedy and/or LBJ, there might have been a recording. RN was damn close, he began to record on February 16, 1971.

I can recommend this page.

Very interesting the Exhibit JFK & The Space Race

Also the transcripts are essential reading. Very interesting for me, who never lived to see the Cold War.

This is a nice additional site.

Anyone who obviously loves "Patton", John Wayne and Clint Eastwood to the extent that Nixon did is OK in my book.

Has anyone read his memoirs? Does he mention Elvis?
It's a tome, 1000+ pages and OOP. The last reprint 1990.
I was 7 and quite frankly not interested yet.
