Historic Elvis Festival

Mon May 29, 2006 8:59 pm

From all accounts a great many businesses feel the elderly should be encouraged to use computers. After all we do have a some disposable income

Therefore Colin's Poll on the Off Topic section should be put on hold for awhile. (But have you voted yet?) Legions of grey haired Elvis fans are due to arrive in the near future.

The VAST majority of Elvis fans are over 60 years of age and the enormous weight of their knowledge and points of view has yet to be added to Elvis message boards.

Meanwhile the Elvis news on google.com leads with

Please help it along :)

Maurice -

Thanks for the link !

Keith -

If they use your versions with the added sound, make sure they pay !

Tue May 30, 2006 1:19 am

My pleasure Colin.

Thinking back to the golden days of Rock 'n' Roll before all the Elvis writers arrived makes one wonder how we appreciated him so much before having his importance pointed out to us by the likes of Greil Marcus, Guralnic, and a host of others.......... a little late in the day

Roy asked if he could use the overdubbed video's I did, Colin, and I said yes, simple as that. No money has ever been mentionned, and it won't be! I'm not in it for the money. I'm just a fan sharing what I do with all other fans, the way it should be

Good going Tony, but the VAST majority of Elvis fans ARE over 60 they just do not go to Elvis discos...neither do I

Only a tiny minority of Elvis fans joined fan clubs, bought Elvis Monthlies, OR use Elvis message boards.

Ask Jesse Garon :P

Then read my signature

Such big words, I will not come back blah blah and then everything gets minimize with a lame signature. Everybody knew you were coming back one way or other. And the funny thing is that nobody told you to leave.

Tue May 30, 2006 11:14 pm

Francesc my friend, don't hold back, say what's really on your mind....I can take it

By the way Did you ask Jesse?

http://press.xtvworld.com/article11751.html I'm just helping out Elvis friends.

Tue May 30, 2006 11:48 pm

Of course you can take it, you can take all the abuse as long you can put your little links in every single message.

Wed May 31, 2006 9:15 am

Francesc, But many Elvis fans here like the news on the links............. who am I to deprive them?

Surely you would like to see the news of the Elvis Festival in Tupelo reach as many people as possible?

Keth has kindly contributed to the Documentary by Roy Turner and Jim Palmer, it will Premier this Saturday at the Lyric theatre in Tupelo.

as for abuse, the half a dozen little chickens here are no match for this particular fox

Hiya Ger! Many thanks for the welcome.

I may be getting the poster for the film...I received an email from Roy Turner about it yesterday.
I'll not be in Tupelo for the Festival  But hope to get the DVD of the "Elvis:Homecoming" Documentary. But I don't know when yet.

Ah yes Memory  I had an excellent one but can't seem to find it. I know it's close by........ somewhere........................

Yes he is.......no one can be obtuse enough to think otherwise.

Therefore, Maurice was as good as his word.

In truth, "Jesse" was posting well before "Gardener" was removed, so Maurice's promise isn't quite honored.

Of course, since these members are one and the same -- how honest! -- maybe Maurice should've thrown down a different gauntlet.

Doc, How ungracious.

Jesse should have gone with GG, or stood on a chair to straighten a picture

As a victim of very lax Moderation, I claim the Fifth

Meanwhile the good news is http://press.xtvworld.com/article11751.html rides high on google.com Elvis news. Thanks folks.
