Stanley has three films on the go, one about Elvis,
one about his father....and another one about
a evangelist in th 1980's. (another part of his life story)

If anything I give Stanley credit where credit is due
He doesn't appear to be the type of guy that gives
up easy , even tho Elvis has been a big part of
keeping food on the table for him.....for many years.
(no crime in that)

The crime is the B/S and degrading things Stanley
has said about Elvis in the past to suit his needs.

Anyway will this film been a good film, I doubt it...

Saw only a small clip of what the actor will look
like in the movie as Elvis on ET the other night.

The actor playing Elvis looked like a cartoon character to me,
more than he did Elvis....

They didn't even get the hair right for the period...

This movie I'm sure will be added to the long list
of movies about Elvis as a sad joke.

Thanks for that update Paul.....the short clip I saw on ET the other night for some reason i didn't think it looked like Baldwin....as it had been reported originally Baldwin was going to be Elvis in the movie.

Stanley appeared on Pat O'Brien's show last night. I think it's called Extra?

It's disturbing to watch him continue to place himself in situations where he was not present. He was not at Graceland when Elvis' body was discovered. He was not in that bathroom with the paramedics.

He's so hyped up when he tells his tales that I wonder if he actually has come to believe them, after all these years.

To add insult to inury, O'Brien wound up the feature by saying Stanley shattered two other myths about Elvis - that he never actually ate jelly donuts and that he never uttered the phrase, "thankyouverymuch."

Perhaps we should send Pat an Elvis concert CD? Maybe he can play it in the background while he talks dirty to girls on the phone.

EIN will be publishing its interview with DS in the next few days. Apparently covers the main actors in the film, release date, what we can expect etc, etc.

Isnt it something how when someone is talking about elvis, that its usually about how it all went down that day in august 77, but with other guys such as johnny cash, its always about there music etc. i know the way elvis went was differt than others, but i do think that if jonnhy cash or others had went same way they would be getting more respect, yet in the 29 years after his passing, elvis is a punchline to a joke etc.

Not all accounts by David are accurate, but sometimes the truth hurts.
We have no reason to believe David was not at graceland during the fatal moments..

According to multiple people that were there, David was supposed to be on duty, but had left to escort a personal friend off the property. He did not see Elvis' body until he arrived at the hospital. Esposito, Smith and Grob will tell you he wasn't there.

EIN has added their interview with David Stanley to their site. He talks about filming of the movie, its stars and some other Elvis related topics including Sillerman buying EPE and ETAs

Y'all are getting your Stanley's mixed up.

David was not there, though he was supposed to be there at noon.

Ricky had been on "duty" all night, but was snoozing down in the basement, having passed out after shooting up with Demerol.

According to Billy Smith, David got there as he (Billy) was leaving for the hospital on his motorcycle, but instead jumped in the car with David, who had no idea what was going on. So this means David didn't even enter the grounds until the ambulance had left, which was what, after 2:30?

InMemphis I believe your right, and to add to this
Stanley supposedly is the one that cleaned out the
Bathroom...
which he claimed to do when interviewed on
20/20 back in 78'.....

Again Stanley over the years has come across as
a well spoken person, obviously someone intelligent....
but maybe as wacky as his Mother for making up B/S stories....

On the other hand the older brother Billy has come as
cross a little more sincere over the years, and really has
not strayed from what he has said in the past....

Billy has admitted I believe a few times on television he
does not agree with what his younger brother has said
about Elvis in the past about the events which took place
on August 16th 1977, plus I believe Billy has indicated he
is or was embarrassed about some of the things his Mother
has said about Elvis as well......
