Unless the actual stage platform where Elvis stood is now hidden underneath newly constructed materials, my impression is that Elvis's stage is gone. Unless they just decided to cover it with new flooring, my impression was that it was completely removed & renovated.

While you are correct that it is the same room, Elvis would not recognize it as such. I was there in 2004 and it didn't remind me of the room we see in TTWII at all.
