Not so dumb - if you consider that it hasn't had an editorial mention in Billboard over the last two weeks. :!:

Today(July 1st) is the day, Billboard had an article about Close Up at the end of May and mentioned it within the past few days in an article about 2nd To None.

I bought my copy of "Close Up" at 10:44am today - at Border's.
I asked the employee if the CD was around. Sure enough, he pulled it out of the box. (They didn't have a chance to put it in stock yet).

I bought mine yesterday, June 30 at HMV, as July 1st is a holiday here in Canada.

I bought the set from a local music shop as soon as I got of work this morning. They too had not gotten it out on the shelf yet as of 8:45 am. As soon as I asked an employee about the set she put out six copies and in the time it took me to get from the door to the back room to the cash register with my copy there were five other people behind me with the remaining five sets. I guess they were looking the store over for the set and me being impatient went straight to an employee vs. looking around. I like to do that on release day to let the employees know that I came for Elvis and his new releases still generate excitement. It felt good standing in line with those people all for "Close Up" while the other new modern releases sit gathering dust and Elvis is walking out the door, "I'm Leaving baby...it's not the title of a song, I'm just gettin' the hell out of here!"
