Should more 70's albums get the FTD treatment?

Wed Feb 22, 2006 7:56 pm

Since obvioulsy BMG doesn't want to re-release the 70's albums on CD, should FTD release more of them (The Fool Album, Raised On Rock, Now, etc)? Each release with:

1. The complete album.
2. All undubbed masters.
3. All available outtakes.

I agree they should release more from the December tour of '76 like burmingham and dallas :D :D

Well, I was really only refering to studio albums...

I think they should release them only as long as they put a picture of Elvis in a jumpsuit on the cover.

I think FTD should release all of the studio albums at one time or another. Give us everything they have.

I think they will "give" us everything they have before it's over with.

The almighty $ speaks loudly.

ftd should do all the 1970s albums with bonus undubbed masters and alts.

I'm of a mind that they all should be released in the deluxe 7 inch packaging. And I believe they will be.

Why not in the order they once were released in?

What would have been cool would be:

Each original album as a vinyl/CD set with the vinyl featuring the original mixes/mastering etc and the CD(s) featuring the best remastered/remixed sound and outtakes.

Mathew: I like the idea. But, I myself already have an original unopened copy of every original Elvis album starting with Elvis Presley and running up until RCA stopped vinyl. The title of the last one doesn't come immediately to mind.

Oh, I always had two of each. So, I had one to play.

Release all 70's albums on FTD with the outtakes just like "Today". Also Elvis In Concert ' 77 !

How many here waited to buy it until after Elvis' death though? It couldn't be found for miles around.

We Have NO Elvis Presley Albums!

Sound familiar?

I bought it when it came out. So, I wasn't a "coffin" rider.

Never quite worked out why an artist's death makes us rush out to buy their stuff !

John Lennon's Imagine only went to No.5 when issued as a single in the UK in 1975.

After his death in Dec. 1980, it went to No.1.

Same with Elvis and lots of others.

Weird, isn't it ?
