My complaint about all the box sets

Thu Feb 16, 2006 9:43 pm

None of the box sets (Golden Celebration, Elvis Aron Presley, Today/Tomorrow/Forever, Close Up, Platinum, Live In Las Vegas, etc) give us the material in chronological order.

There's no question the contents of the box sets is (mostly) fantastic; but am I the only one who'd want to hear it all in proper chronological order on each 4-disc set? It's distracting when we jump from one era or session to another...

Golden celebration is nearly in order.

I am working from memory, as I'm at work, but I think most box sets present the material in chronological order. TTF, Close-Up and Platinum do.
LILV mostly does, except for a few tracks on CD4.
Golden Celebration, except for the '56 interview, is in order (?).
As for EAP, I have to agree with you, especially CD 2+3 LPs 4 and 6)!

I love the boxsets
