Elvis live 1969 - Shows recorded by RCA - setlists?

Wed Nov 23, 2005 6:25 am

1. Anyone know how many shows RCA recorded in 1969?
2. In addition, were any Las Vegas, stage rehearsals taped by RCA?
3. Were any rehearsals taped in Los Angeles for the rhythm section rehearsals with Elvis?
4. 3 complete shows have been issued from 1969 season. However, does anyone know the full setlists of the unissued concerts recorded by RCA?

1. 8 complete shows were recorded by RCA.

2. 30 second fragements of 4 songs at a stage rehersal on August 21 were made by Felton, according to Joe Tunzi.

3. None that have sufaced so far.

4. For the full setlists of the unreleased concerts, check out Joe Tunzi's Sessions III book.

There had to have been tons of rehearsals prior to the 1969 Vegas opening. Where are they?!

If they were not recorded, someone needs a knot on their head!

Does anyone have those "Elvis News Service Weekly" publications from Rex Martin? They list what Elvis sang at (almost) each concert.
Should be good information these days, but it was boring to read back then with the same setlists, day in, day out.........

garry100: Yeah is 12, becasue they did record each show from August 21 to August 26. But I thought they only recorded the Auguts 21st MS. I'll have to check Tunzi's book when I get home.
