An open letter to the Doc

#15225

Post by Nighthawk »

Hello my favorite Anorak,

I am dumbfounded sometimes by your postings, not that I don't find them real funny, I really do and I hope you will continue with the misinformation that we feed you from time to time.

You are right about one thing, there is the privliged few who do know whats happening in the Elvis world, these induviduals have real contacts and although they are sworn to secrecy about whats really going on, they can never devulge this sensitive information on the board until they know that it is safe to do so.

We are a loyal bunch of people who want to present the right image of Elvis to the public and not revel in the fact that we know whats really happening.

I do wish that you would get your facts straight before you post about the rumours we send out occasionally, just to see who will let the cat out of the bag. I understand that you would like to be a real part of this inner circle but your posts have persuaded us otherwise.

The one who really knows, what the Doc would like to know.

Hawky...

I encourage you to correct any and all errors of fact I make.

Or is that beyond your ability?

God bless you and your secret knowledge!

You honestly can't know everything about everything, let me explain, you posted a reply to my good friend Squirrel who I understand no one likes, but anyway, thats besides the point.

You spoke about reversal of images in a certain book, well let me explain, considering I have a vast knowledge about not only Elvis (as in your case), but also photography to.

I have been published the world over, hundreds of times, to many to count actually, and publishers on many occasions reverse images to suit the layout of the text.

As I would say that under my supervision, Squirrel being my young Jedi Knight knows far more about photography than you, I would ask that you stick to the topics you know more about (like Elvis).

Fascinating. Now, let me correct your erroneous (drunken?) prose.

I did not speak of any images in any book. A David Stanley title was cited by your colleague Stu as the source of his avatar. I implied that Stanley's merits as an author -- let alone a Presley "relative" -- are so few that a reverse-image would not be a surprising event.

The image question is not about what was presented in any book but what was displayed as an avatar on this MB. And this picture of Elvis -- taken at his August 1, 1969 press conference -- was reverse-image.

Better luck next time. Maybe post #14 will be enlightening.

Oh, boy! What I hate about the doc is his stupid way of saying things. He's always pretending he's so intelligent, and clever. I've learned something through the years: wise people never call themselves so...

BTW, there are more important things than Elvis to know about!!!

Hey Doc

Post by Nighthawk »

I have just been having a little fun, I do hope you understand that a little light hearted humour can keep you young and healthy, however I was totally amazed that you and the Squirrel look so much alike, could this possibly mean that you both are one and the same and that is why we never see you in our friendly chatroom, that should would explain a lot as the Squirrel like yourself can be a real pain in the rectum (lol).

And another thing, what gave you the idea that I was drunk, I am happy all the time (lol).

Hawky,

The man who knows what the Doc thinks he knows.

Leave the Doc alone!

His comments are always interesting and I can't remember anyone catching him out with a fact.

He has been extremely helpful to me when I have asked him something and he's a nice bloke.

He is a true expert - otherwise we wouldn't all ask him questions!

I totally agree with londonflash.
Doc's postings are much more informative and accurate than any others'.
I don't think 'He is always pretending he is so intelligent and clever." as
CapiTrueno noted.
I can say for sure that "HE IS SO INTELLIGENT AND CLEVER".

Thanks a million, Doc. !

Have a Happy.

Hi guys,

It's time to "visit" the Doc again, isn't it?

I'm glad he's on this board. His posts and replies are not only informative, but they're funny as well. I kinda like his way of putting things.

Here's to you, Doc!

Bye
Sonny

I like the DOC too. Though he has been proved WRONG on occasion, he does bring up good points.

Hmmmmmm, interesting DJC - given you know so much about Nighthawks drinking habits, Squirrels real name and where to locate his photograph it doesn't seem too far fetched to presume you visit the chat room yourself.

If so perhaps you'd care to share the name you use in there so we can say hello to you next time ;)

Well, in Belgium they say "hoge bomen vangen veel wind". And that's exactly how I feel about Dr. John Carpenter.

Joe Krein interview with Sherril Nielsen: "YOU KNOW YOU FORGET HOW GOOD HE REALLY WAS. I SAID MY GOODNESS. YOU KNOW WHEN YOU ARE WITH HIM YOU ARE SO WRAPPED UP DOING THE SHOW, BUT HERE NOW 20 YEARS LATER, I HEAR HIM AND REALIZE WHAT A GREAT TALENT HE WAS. HE WAS THE REAL DEAL.

What's that, doc???
The first part of that sentence is Dutch, but the second part of it is nonsense. Seems like it lost something in the translation (or maybe "gained something", if you will).
