Surfer dude shaking hands with Elvis during Aloha arrival

Wed Sep 28, 2005 2:46 am

Ok, I am a little bored, so there goes this topic. In the Aloha DVD Deluxe, after Elvis lands he starts to shake hands with the people there. Some secs after the hot brunette kisses and embraces him, we see a couple. She´s a blondie girl, who is enthusiastic about Elvis. The guy is a young, long-haired surfer. He shakes hands with Elvis, but just afterwards, he looks extremely pissed off, while his girlfriend is still charmed.

Just a curious thing.

But this guy´s thing is different. He looks happy, but after shaking hands his face changes completely. Strange

Carolyn:

Isn't the fellow you're thinking of Cary Grant? Or am I thinking of the wrong scene?

The next time you get bored, check this out.

After the actual Aloha performance, you see a couple of guys in the audience getting into a bit of a confrontation in front of the long walkway. One in particular, does not look happy.

I tried to imagine what it could possibly be about, then I remembered that it is the same spot that Elvis tossed his belt moments earlier. It could have caused a little scrap with some ladies which escalated over to their husbands after the show.

You have to look close to see it. Elvis has left, but the music is still playing. Interesting stuff.

The Guy looked to to be in amazement to me. Like, Man that's really him. Wish it was me look...he didn't look upset to me.

Not the guy you're speaking of,Carolyn, but in TTWII SE they use footage of two blokes in dark suits that look totally unimpressed with Elvis, one has his elbow resting on the table and his head in his hands ! the other is just looking in the opposite direction from Elvis.

It always p***** me off because they use the same clip about four times.

Also on the subject of TTWII... has anyone else noticed that blonde lady in the audience with a face like a slapped ass? She looks totally bored! During Suspicious Minds (in the original 1970 version) as Elvis sings "I would never lie to you..." you see her - she looks really shifty and uncomfortable. It's like she can't face looking at him!

I've heard that you can see more of her dis-interest during the crowd shots on the TTWII out-take dvds doing the rounds...

Well, I guess you can´t please everyone...! What were they doing there anyway if they didn´t enjoy the show one might ask? People are strange...!

1. Casino visitor being curious what the Elvis hype is all about.
2. Invited by another person, told to stay.
3. Just there to eat dinner and didn't like the Polk Salad Sandwich or whatever it is called, thus the unimpressed look.
4. Satisfying Parker, because they paid for their ticket.

You´re probably right Melaine.
