Shake a Hand - higher key

Fri Sep 23, 2005 11:23 am

There is a great version of Shake a Hand, sung in a higher key, from 22 July 1975, Ashville, NC. There seems to be a mix up, with the band and Elvis forgetting what key the song was recorded in, and this results in a more high powered, energetic version. It seems to be an audience recording, as the sound quality isn't too great. Does anyone know if this whole show is out on CD or if a soundboard version is likely to appear? The following night is available on Gyrating Ashville.

Yes it's availeble on CDR, as is the July 24th Asheville show.

Thanks Stefan. That's the audience recording I guess? If anyone tracks down a better quality audio of that song, I'd love to hear it.

I heard this version TJ... Elvis really sings in higher keys... If a soundboard surfaces, that would be awesome! Maybe some importers like Memory Records could make a good job there!
