Kate Bush is a major Artist and she highly respected in the music world internationally.

As a very famous recording star, her song about Elvis is sure to give many music mag editors food for thought. ... e&sid=6796

Let's make the most of it!

Meanwhile famous Elvis fan Mr Koizumi, the Prime Minister of Japan, has won a landslide victory.

If someone said to you, "Hey, have you heard this song by Kate Bush where she mentions Elvis?" would you say the subject was about a)Elvis, b)Kate Bush or c) a song by Kate Bush? And if you were to find info on this subject where would you search for it a) The Elvis forum or b) a Kate Bush website??

Sincerely MB280E

Actually, I would say the subject was Kate Bush the artist mentioning Elvis. Therefore, if I were to look for such a subject (I haven't), I could equally expect to find it on either a Kate Bush or Elvis website. I really find it pointless debating where a post should or should not go, particularly this one, where Elvis is mentioned in the title of the thread. If you are an administrator of this board, I suggest you move it to where you feel it is appropriate. If not, perhaps you would like to leave it alone and allow fans who wish to discuss Kate Bush the artist mentioning Elvis to do so.

Don´t force me to have you banned from this board now...being the administrator and all...!

Sincerely MB280E

Darn it!

Fri Sep 23, 2005 9:12 pm has picked up the Kate Bush Elvis song news from EIN, so I guess it's definitely an Elvis topic after all:-)

Kate's song "Symphony in Blue" has the words "The more I think about sex, the better it gets". Down Rob..Down!!! ... e&sid=6796

Can't believe this sh*t has gone on for two pages now. Kate Bush...holy sh*t. Can't wait for the Brotherhood Of Man's next album. Apparently there's a song on there about Elvis Fooling. That's sure to get two pages (at least) on here. Then when the Fooling remix comes out it'll get another two pages.

It's Friday night - go out and get tanked up and then fall down. Enjoy life! Don't sit in the house putting things about Kate Friggin' Bush on Elvis websites.

Oh, and stick that 'In The Ghetto' reggae remix up your arse while you're at it.

Fri Sep 23, 2005 10:12 pm

I said Fooling, not fooling. Why did it get changed?

Fri Sep 23, 2005 10:13 pm

Changed again. F - A - R - T - I - N - G

Fri Sep 23, 2005 10:15 pm

You got there in the end though!

Fri Sep 23, 2005 10:30 pm

Tits, stop making me titter.

Sounds like you are already tanked up...but not with the real stuff...Guinness. Otherwise you would be far happier and appreciative of Kate's beautiful fact downright intoxicated with the lady!

Cheers mate! ... e&sid=6796 go on click if you can see the mouse..trap:-)

Maurice -

I've heard Kate's 'Elvis' song & it's good !

Not an obvious tribute thing like 'I Remember Elvis Presley' but rather done in her usual subtle, almost surreal way.

It's more in the tradition of 'Black Velvet' !

I see a number one with this !

Thanks Colin, you early bird! I'm sure you are right about this song becoming a hit.

It's Ravel's Bolero like insistence will grow on listeners. Even though I still have to catch some of the lyrics on my computer speakers.

The hair now growing in our oldie ears can be such a nuisance:-)

The fact it's Kate Bush singing about Elvis will not be lost on the "popular music world", that's why I think it's important news.

As you know, Kate Bush was just a child when Elvis died. The impact of our man was/is "Amazing":-) ... e&sid=6796

I`ve heard this song quite a few times now, and its no great shakes, especially after a 12 year wait.

Err......... no.

At 18, she was an adult, with full voting rights.

Sat Sep 24, 2005 6:16 pm

Colin, Memory failed me again:-( she just seemed so young when I first saw her on TV singing "Wuthering Heights". Nevertheless 18 year olds ARE children as we learn much too late.

I was a child.... groom at 17:-)

In our day 21 was the age to vote wasn't it? And when we got the Key to the front door.

When Kate Bush recorded her first demos with David Gilmour in 1975, she was a mere 17 years old. Three of those demos made it on to her first album, and one of them was the sublime "The Man With the Child in His Eyes".

What a beauty.
A very Imaginative biography indeed.

Meanwhile the news of Kate's Elvis single has been picked up from Elvisnews and EIN and made it's way to a Kate Bush website.
Talk about "Rolling the Ball".

Trouble is we oldies read all the books years ago and now can't remember all the facts

It's a good idea to have the books close by just in case a difficult question arrises..... but there is always someone here to correct mistakes anyway  ... e&sid=6796

Sun Sep 25, 2005 8:56 pm

I have that book too,Maurice.

I wonder if Kate got the inspiration for this song after visiting Graceland?

Would any of the staff have recognised her if she did?

I wonder.

Sun Sep 25, 2005 9:17 pm

Dan_T, Small world:-)

Quite an interesting read isn't say the least ? Kate Bush in Graceland? A very interesting question..anyone?

Kate's Elvis song is being debated in depth on the Kate Bush forum....many of Kate's fans hope Elvis fans will boost the sales of the single..and her "Aerial" album too when it's released.

Money well spent. ... e&sid=6796

The record in question is this week's BBC2 Radio's 'Record Of The Week'.

Wed Sep 28, 2005 8:50 pm

Thanks Brian, Kate's return has been discussed on 5.00PM BBCRadio 4 this evening.

News of her Comeback is spreading around the world.

The Elvis link will not go unnoticed:-) She could become one of the most Famous Elvis fans like, Lennon, Clinton, Koizumi, and Springsteen etc. ... e&sid=6796
