2 Movie DVD releases

Sun Sep 11, 2005 4:59 am

Does anyone know if the Spinout/Speedway DVD release is only one DVD? I was surprised to see these in the store the other day, right alongside the Stallone "classics" Cobra and The Specialist.

In Australia, they sold them seperately!

In Asia, "Speedway" & "Harum Scarum" are on one DVD disc.

I haven't seen this release in any stores around here in eastern carolina!

In fact, there seems to be a shortage of Elvis DVD's around here lately as well...

In the US, Spinout and Double Trouble are sold together on one dual-sided DVD.

In Brazil they are sold together in a 6 DVD box.

Tom, I've looked (pretty much) everywhere for this DVD, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, etc etc ...

where is this DVD being sold?

like I said be4, it appears to me that there has been a shortage of Elvis DVD's around in this area, (eastern carolina), for quite sumtime now...

Just a thought.

Remember some time back when two Elvis movies began appearing on the one video cassette.

It transpired that songs were edited out to fit format.

Is it possible that these double DVD's are taken directly from the assembled video efforts thus with the same edits.

Let the buyer beware!

I've seen it at Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Circuit City. At Wal-Mart, it's not in the DVD section, but in a cardboard kiosk with the other "double feature" DVDs near the front of the store.

Hey TOM, jus picked it up at Wal-Mart for a mere $7.98 :!:

I had to dig thru the display and found 1 DVD stuffed in the very back :!:

The display was strangely affixed in the middle of the isle between Jewelry and the Playstation, Xbox games...

The DVD could have at least come with a booklet of sum sorts, even if it is a budget 2 fer...

Anyway, Thanks again for the advice.

Thanks for the info. I guess even though it's only on 1 DVD, the quality should still be perfect considering that it's a dual sided DVD. Still, I've never had much luck with dual sided DVDs. I find that about 1 in every 3 seems to have some sort of defect (ghost, skipping). I'll be buying it next time I go back to the Walmart.

That's my main problem with dual sided discs. They are much more susceptible to scratches, fingerprints, etc..

Even though Amazon lists 2 discs, there is only one. FYI.
