...and I hope some can help. The oldies station in New York, WCBS-FM 101.1, used to play this several hour radio show in Jan and/or Aug. I think it was six or eight hours...andyway it was called "The Presley Years" and was kind of narrated with a girl's diary, through the years of the 50's through to the 70's, and the girl gets older (of course). I remember it was a greats how but I never got it on tape. This was the first time I'd heard "Tomorrow Is a Long Time" and I still remember getting chills hearing it.
I loved the show, does anyone else remember this? Anyone have it?
Thanks!
Axe

I beleive the radio show you are referring to was called Elvis: An American Music Legend and was hosted by WCBS-FM's Norm N. Nite (he now works at Sirius radio). This was a great show and one that I feel in love with as a kid.
In Janauary of 2005, CBS-FM (before it was jacked) rebraodcast this show over 4 consecutive nights. I taped all four nights. Unfortuantely, the show had been trimmed by Nite himself to fit in the allotted time. (I know because I emailed the PD at CBS-FM to ask about this). Alos, the aduio sources used on some tracks were the stereophonic mxes.
That said, the show was great and traced his career year by year, with snippets of the top songs in each year.
Does anyone out there have the full broascast from 20 years ago. If you do, please PM me so we can work out a trade - I'd like to brun these to Cdr.
