Thank you very much for the time in putting together the presentation. It was <b>very</b> interesting - especially some of the items, which could have been won at a fairground.

I liked the 1965 tour shirt. Wonder what cities that took in?!

Some of the items look genuine but some look very bogus. There must be one guy out there whose making a fortune producing fake Elvis stuff. There's quite a demand for them, I'm sure.

It was interesting to see the photos you had managed to produce, under poor conditions.

Well done and thank you for making them available.

As is usually the case with such "exhibits" / "museums" - the items span the spectrum of legit ............ to misprepresented ........ to items with remote / indirect association to Elvis himself ................ to replicas.

The legit items are interesting, the "1965 Tour Shirt" is a mispresented Graceland grounds STAFF shirt, the gold record award is a MMM item (not Elvis'), and the replicas are obvious.

BTW, ........ ME4EP.........cool avatar, cool link, and thanks for sharing "freely" with your fellow fans. :D

Hey listen fellas, your most welcome, in my eyes it's what it's all about.

The exhibition is a must see if you're ever in the area and another thing I forgot to mention is that if you visit The Beatles Story first they are promoting the Fingerprints of Elvis with a discount voucher and vica versa.

When I was starting out (a long time ago) as a fan I would have given anything for some of the stories, tales and opinions given out in a place like this.

I've been searchin' for an old negative and found it, scanned the pic (from 1992) and here it is....... what you reckon?

ME4EP - I hear ya. Boy oh boy, do I ever feel exactly the same. There is a wealth of knowledge on this board unrivaled in "The Elvis-World." Better late than never ...... as the saying goes ........

Regarding the TCB necklace(s) - contact L. Hays to give you the final verdict on your inquiries. I don't own any TCB's (I feel there are just too many out there and it is almost impossible to know which ones were truly Elvis') and, as a result, am hesitant to give an opinion about them. There are many supposed "originals" that graced the neck of The King out there .................. many indirectly linked to Elvis (ie: given out by Elvis, but not Elvis' per se) and tons of replicas. The two pics you linked to ........... do look slightly different (in addition to the obvious differences in the chains). Very hard to say from just pics. though, because photos play tricks and items are always a bit different in size / dimensions in reality.

Once again, my thanks for all your efforts and sharing.

That’s definitely Elvis in the picture. It’s a still from the TTWII SE. This isn’t one of Elvis’ stage costumes, but a blue jumpsuit type outfit that was used for casual wear back in 1970:

Thanks Rockin' Rebel for the info, you saved me a job :D

I played TTWII SE in my DVD ROM player and used the slow motion feature to help capture the right picture.
I then cropped it in Paint Shop Pro and added a couple of borders to get the image I eventually used.

Hey, I didn't know but it's ELVIS DAY on VH-1 in the UK today

ME4EP - nice work my friend.

Regarding Elvis day on VH1 - Elvis The Movie 2 times already - what's that about :D

The listings for Elvis day in my TV listings mag apear to be wrong though - but theres a Lisa Marie special on at 9pm which might have some interesting home movies if the trailer is anything to go by - though I only caught a snippet so I can't be sure.

I was wondering about that picture myself, I have never seen it before, now I know why.

WELL DONE ME 4 EP

FANTASTIC.

Also like CLINT RENO's picture.

Nice slide show - always wondered what happened to the bike seen in Thats The Way It Is. The exhibition looks very worthwhile. Are the jumpsuits originals or copies?

I enjoyed it very much but as for this jumpsuit I'm in no way qualified to judge..... you tell me ?

Oh my God!

The jumpsuits on display are a big laugh, the originals are in Graceland! and these are not even made well, jeezz, you can find much better ones at your local gas station. And as for the display of the gravesite, am I the only one who finds this a bit macabre, to say the least! The final photo in the slide show made everything clear to me, David Stanley!!! the stepbrother who has made up more different stories about Elvis than the average novelist has made books. He changes his stories in every interview, to be quite honest, he really makes me laugh, he's a funny guy, but I wouldn't believe a word he says anymore.
Cheers

ME4EP - I'm not qualified either - never seen a Jumpsuit up close, not even an impersonators so I couldn't say if the ones at the exhibition on display are copies or not - not for sure anyway. I just thought on first impression that there was something not quite right.

Are all of the stage outfits copies though?

I guess we will get to know for sure what artefacts are the real deal and which aren't as more and more fans visit the Exhibition.

Your slideshow has persuaded me that its worth going. It looks like a good alternative for those of us who can't get to Graceland.

More doubts !

Just got my copy of the book 'THE ROCK N ROLL YEARS - MY WISH CAME TRUE VOL 1'<br>Inside is a picture of an invoice for Elvis' second acetate recorded at Memphis Recording Service (Sun) and guess what?<br>It casts <b>serious</b> doubt on the one in the 'fingerprints' exhibition, it doesn't even seem to be a close copy in my opinion! ! <br>The descriptions on the invoice are the same but apart from that there are some details that are different and missing from the one in the exhibition.
I thought it looked too good to be true.<br>Please note these are just my opinions and do not reflect the views of anyone associated with this web-site.

ME4EP - if the copies / replicas are not labelled as such ............... it does speak volumes. IMO, there really isn't much substance in that exhibit.

Hi,
It was good looking at the pictures ME4EP. I have seen some of the stuff before, many years ago in Aberdeen.
The main attraction then was the Gold Mercedes. Quite an impresive car.
There was many of the clothes and jewelry there as well. Looks like they have added a lot more stuff now.
It is good to know that people are still showing these things.
