A new 13-hour Documentary

Thu Aug 18, 2005 8:23 pm

Several months ago I hinted at something big coming and here it is:

Tribute - Remembrances of the King, is a 13-hour documentary about the life of Elvis Presley. The filmmakers interviewed over 600 celebrities, friends and family member during the filming of this documentary and traveled over 200,000 miles, in 4 years, to secure these interviews. Called by many who knew Elvis personally, 'the best film they've ever seen on the man,' it is currently being edited and will eventually be released as both a 13-hour DVD boxed set and a feature-length film.

My pal Ken Vrana and his wife Lisa are producing the film and it is sure to be the documentary that all others are compared to. Ken is hoping for the world premiere to be at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame next year. More info when I have it. I have a short news clip about the documentary that I'm trying to post, but will email it to anyone who wants it. Just PM with an email addy and I'll send it right out.

You're kidding. That's awesome news Tom! A feature length film to boot.

Thu Aug 18, 2005 9:04 pm

It's all true!!

Tom

Thu Aug 18, 2005 9:34 pm

So in the 13 hours how much will have Elvis? 9-10 minutes?

Is it going to have Linda T. explaining how hard it is to live with someone who sleeps all day and is up all night? I really would like to get on dvd Larry King telling how Elvis tipped the limo driver.

How is all this going to be different that "the definitive elvis"??

Or how is this different than "the elvis anthology"?

To be honest some us are looking for Elvis footage instead 600 people talking about Elvis. Sorry.

Thu Aug 18, 2005 9:37 pm

You're right, what were we thinking?? I'll call Ken and scrap the whole thing. Thanks ekenee.

Tom - I have two questions:

1) Will EPE be involved in this?

2) Is there interview footage with Ronnie Tutt, as well as the other TCB members?
