Mine's a CDR copy with a repro cover, but it's a knock-out of a show.

I highly recommend it to those who have missed it!
It really puts the "Elvis In Concert" Lp to shame, to
make one comparison. I know that's not saying much
for some people, but it's really the best of the "later'
Elvis, live" in my book.

I'd buy a "real" copy in a flash, FTD or otherwise!

Frankly, I'm mainly in Jules camp (support FTD)
but I know I may wait forever to either find an original
copy (hello, CDRs!) or for Ernst to issue it. Come
to think of it, doing swaps and searching for even
CDRs is a pain, release these on FTD and I'll
shell out for 'em.

I don't have A Hot Winter Night In Dallas.When I became
aware of bootlegs via the internet and how to get hold of
them I chose the ones I wanted carefully for variety and
what I could get hold of.It was a toss up between Dallas
and Burning In Birmingham from the night after Dallas and
I chose Birmingham as it had a few more songs

I have to say you shouldn't choose one over the other!
They both are pretty key things to get.

I found out what I wanted to know. Being a collector of original CD's, it's hard for me to fathom why so few people here have an original A Hot Winter Night In Dallas in their collection.

However, whether it be financial reasons, lack of interest, could never find one, or whatever, it is a show that Elvis concert collectors should have. Especially since it is a Fort Baxter original release and a good soundboard show.

Stay tuned because it's about time for me to give another CD away. I want to make sure that everyone has enough advance notice so that if you want to participate in trying to win it, you will be able to.

I'll get back with you in the near future with the details.

Thanks to all who responded.

attention; Tallhair aka Ger Rijff
Would you please tell the Baxter ot Flashback-boys if they could please re-release BEHIND CLOSED DOORS on a 2CD-set. From what I understand they (Flashback) had access to most of the Audifon mastertapes (hence their HOT AND TIGHT and THE HOLLYWOOD SESSIONS), wouldn´t it be cool to have a 2CD of A DOG´S LIFE/LEAVING IT UP TO YOU/PLANTATION ROCK.
You should do the artwork Tallhair, you´re the best!

I bought the original Behind Closed Doors LP a while back and burned it to 2 cdrs. Its the only and best source for the near full length version of Don't Think Twice Its All Right and Suspicious Minds (Feb. 1970 version or is is an August 1969 version). I haven't listen to my dub in a while, but I'll have to do it now.
