Elvis's Stage belts

I was wondering how these belts were fastened. Were they clipped on or buttoned together.
Someone, please explain.

My favorite is his yellow utility belt.
He had a bat-a-rang and bat-sleeping-gas and anti-shark batspray and bat-cuffs and a Wonder Woman Pez dispensor and a noisy packet of mint tic-tacs

ok, I have had the chance to look at one of Elvis's Stage belts up close so here goes: The buckle was held on by a leather strap extending from one side of the belt. This leather was wrapped through a metal piece on a belt in much the same fashion as a regular belt. On the other side of the buckle was another metal piece that buckled to a metal bar on the opposite side of the belt. ...phew! hope this makes since. Also there were pieces of velcro inside the belt that attached to velcro on the jumpsuit to keep it from slipping.

What belt did you get to see close up?
Do you think all belts had the same style fittings? On "Aloha", he appears to take the belt off without any problems.
Here's Elvis in September 1976 - the belt is missing the Indian's head, which came loose during the show.
