Fri Jun 13, 2003 8:12 am

i know it's sooo hard to narrow it down to one cd ,but if you could name your FAV ONE FTD release so far, which one would it be? please...no top 5's or top 10's...

Hard indeed but "One Night In Vegas" i guess would be my pick.

It's hard to say, and I haven't got them all, but I guess "Jungle Room Sessions" and "Elvis At The International" are my favourites. These two could easily have been released on the BMG label. Both have fantastic artwork, too, and I appreciate that.

That's just no way I can pick. I will say that I llisten more to studio outtakes than live material..

But that still doesn't narrow it down much.

On this site, there is an 'FTD Top 15' [see left] as voted by us..

This has as the top three:

1] The Jungle Room Sessions

2] Nashville Marathon

3] The Memphis Sessions

And 'Too Much Monkey Business is at No.11 !

I would put Memphis Sessions at one, followed by The Jungle Room and Marathon.

It's simply IMPOSSIBLE to choose just one!
It's even hard to pick a top three, but here goes:

1 The Jungle Room Sessions
2 One Night In Vegas
3 The Nashville Marathon

But tomorrow I might want to change that...

FTD is a fantastic experience for the Elvis fans.
I hope they continue with this series until there's nothing more left in the vaults!
Keep 'em coming!

I love 'em all, but at the moment I am listening to the 69 show Elvis At The International, he's in a good mood on this show.

Fri Jun 13, 2003 8:45 pm

I think it is really hard to choose one. I have enjoyed them all.

The one I am listening to the most right now is Studio B. This might be my

favorite.

I also like Fame & Fortune and Elvis at the International.

There is too many excellent CD's to pick just one.

Ernst & roger Thank You !!!

Since I love studio material and I love the early 60's Elvis and one of my favorite places to visit in Nashville is Studio B, my choice is "Fame and Fortune"

[/b]man, i knew that wuz gonna be tuff!!! as for me, i think that "Elvis At The International" is such a kick ass cd, it's a shame this was not the show used for the "Live in Las Vegas" box!? i've played this cd for some of the "non-believers" and they were floored when they heard it! one of my friends, a so so fan, said "man, they always make the Beatles out to be the witty and funny ones, but Elvis sounds hard core on that one, what a performer he was..." see what i mean? thanks for your comments people. one more thing, how do the new soundtrack cd's sound, (EQ, hiss etc.)? i'm still behind on those the "Studio B" and "New Years' Eve" cd's ,and i'm still saving up for the box set so should i wait? thanks guyz...EP rock on

Burbank '68.

I was on summer holiday when I received it, but the CD really rocked on the cheap CD player we had available.

Minkahed,
The new soundtracks do sound better when compared to the double feature releases. The out-takes on these sound great.

Why they can't make the the 'masters' sound as good as the out-takes, i'll never know.

I'm looking forward to the new box as well. According to Simmerrocks' preview on another post, the sound is awesome on the new box.

It's a tie between " Fame and Fortune" and "Studio B".
