Elvis´ family photo

OK! Now we know the year of this. I have read a couple of times that the famous pictures of Elvis, Priscilla and Lisa Marie is from februari 1971. Look at this picture taken with Elvis and Nixon together (december 1970). Elvis shows Nixon one of the family photos. Anyone who knows the exact date when the pictures (of the family) was taken?

This was discussed some time ago on a thread concerning Elvis' final 'studio' photograph. As you say it has long been mentioned that they were taken to coincide with Lisa Marie's 3rd birthday in Feb 1971 but can't have been as he had them in December. Doc mentioned early to mid-December 1970 which is as accurate as I've read. His hair's a similar length to the Nixon shot's so it must have been some time in December. Possibly Priscilla only knows for sure.

I said "possibly Priscilla only knows for sure" as she most likely instigated the photo session and would certainly remember the date. There would be no studio employees as it was taken at one of Elvis' homes, few, if any, bodyguards would have been there and even if they were it's unlikely they would know the date 'for sure'. The phpotographer? Give me his name and I'll ask him.

Yes Abdoman the curtains look similar to the ones from the photos that same year showing Elvis the sniper kneeling by his rifle case.

I presume that the oft attributed date of 1971 is down to the press first receiving these images for publication in that year....?
