What y'all forgot...

With June 10 having been the 31st anniversary of the recording of two of Elvis' MSG concerts, we all seemed to have forgotten that June 10 was also the 28th anniversary of another special show, namely Memphis 75.

IMO it's almost as good as the MSG shows we've had - maybe better? It certainly is a standout performance.

While the June 10th Memphis show was a standout for 1975, in my book,
it does not begin to compare to Elvis' performance in New York in June 1972.

I don't know.

For some reason I've always kinda prefered it to the 10/6/72 evening show.

Maybe because I'd expect a high standard of performance in 72, so the 75 show comes as a bit of a surprise.

Also, the sound quality is great and he may well be in better voice.

We also forgot....last week...

June 3rd.
The 50th Anniversary of Elvis' High School Graduation.
The Class of '53.

I understand he didn't go to the reunion.

June 10-11 was also the 45th anniversary of Elvis recording at Studio B for the first time. Some great 'rockers' came out of that session.

The show in Memphis June 10th 1975 is a VERY good show, in my opinion.
And with the fantastic Diamond release "Let me take you home", thank goodness we all can listen to this in a very enjoyable sound!

One of my favorite cd's...
