Broadcasting show of 26-8-69

Tue Jul 12, 2005 4:08 pm

The listeners of The Memphis Flash requested to play some live recordings of Elvis. Since many of our listeners are on holiday, we're now taking special care of the people that decided to stay at home. This summer we'll be broadcasting some Elvis live shows and our regular programs will be shifted until the holidays are over.

This week's show is dated the 26th of August 1969 and contains the world famous 'laughing version' of Are you lonesome tonight. Now, only a couple of days after the CD has been released, live on Radio Mi Amigo 192 between 8PM and 10PM this Wednesday evening. For the first time in history we can hear the full concert!

I just love the choice of rare songs.

And what's that?

Marvellous, outstanding show!
Thanks for sharing it with your listeners.

Why do I get the feeling the CDR's will be rolling :?

And as a former D.J. myself, I think it's all too easy to play a whole album - in this case a C.D.

Why not put some effort in a do a real show, with themes, etc?

There's a whole catalog out there. You'd think we'd give these FTD's a chance to sell a little first.

But it's your call. I assume you meant well. :)
