I love Don Williams, I know he mentions Burt Reynolds in "If Hollywood don't need you, honey I still do", but don't recall an Elvis reference. Hank Jr., George Jones and Merle Haggard mention Elvis in some of their hit songs, as have hundreds of others. :)

DON WILLIAMS

I have three albums by DON WILLIAMS and as I recall, there is a mention of Elvis in there somewhere. I'm not able to check my LP collection now, but I'll look into it!

I remember hearing that Elvis reference in Don Williams "I Believe In Love".

But not having any of his albums, can't check.

To each his own but Don Williams - I put in the Goulet, Torme and Manilow round file.

Don Williams mentiones Elvis in the track 'True Love' singing

"Then you walked in like in an Elvis film, you were singing love me tender"

Looks like Don liked the Elvis movies then...

Great job! Thats what I get for not listening to Don every day!

Kiwi- please at least listen to an artist before making asinine comments. Don Williams sings thoughtful country music, and has a soothing voice that may have no equal. Goulet and Torme he is not...

Don Williams is one of the giants of C&W. What a fantastic songwriter - "Your cheatin' heat", "Cold, cold heart", "Hey good lookin'", Kaw-liga" and many, many more too numerous to mention.

Spellbinder, surely you mean the great "HANK WILLIAMS".
