As far as concert videos go, a consideration should be the CBS special and/or the shows which it was made from, Omaha 6/19/77 and Rapid City 6/21/77 because they were professionally shot, and the picture quality sounds like a big priority for you.

Surely the best (and someone please tell me if I am wrong about this) audience-shot concert is Pittsburgh 12/31/76.

I would first research these shows if you are not familiar with them. If you are not a fan of Elvis's concerts near the end of his life, they might not be for you. But then again, you just might love them!

Regarding the recommendation of the VCD Virginia Loves Elvis (above) - you must be joking surely ? This is merely a compilation of some 'On Tour' footage from 'Lost Performances' and 'On Tour' which has been edited together pretty sloppily - and the quality is also crapola especially considering the source material used.

The idea to put all the Virginia show footage together isn't a bad one - unfortunately the poor quality really let this little project down.

I wouldn't say Vital Vegas was anything to recommend either - again just clips added together and not always with the smoothest of edits - oh and the JCHB segment is cut before the gong - sloppy.
