Jimmy Page on Elvis.
Great interview in this months issue of Guitar World mag with Jimmy Page. He speaks highly of Elvis, admiring him and briefly discussing one of his meetings with E. He mentions girlfriend Ginger, i think he could be mistaken. or is he? I dont think Page or Led Zep had any dealings with Elvis as late as 76-77 did they? He mentions playing Memphis in the early days and they almost ran em out of town. Didnt like the long hair wild men. lol rednecks Jimmy called Memphis at that time. interesting interview and discussion about the recent dvd/cd projects that ROCK!

Back in high school, I recall taking the occasional flack from friends who were largely classic rock fans (Beatles, Stones, the Who, Led Zepellin) and didn't "get" Elvis, especially in the '80s. I always found I could either bring them to my side in appreciating Elvis' importance, or just shut them up by showing them what folks like Bob Dylan, Lennon & McCartney, or, say, Jimmy Page had to say about Elvis....
