Just caught tonight's episode of 'Eastenders' !
The neighbours form a welcoming 'committee' to greet a new family to Albert Square.
The door is answered by an Asian Elvis, complete with white jumpsuit, who says:
"Welcome to Graceland !"
God help us.

Is that series still on? I remember watching the first years really really a long time ago. Pretty much all meet in a pub where the owner dissapeared after 2nd seson? Is that one?

That's the one !
And guess what ?
After all these years that missing owner is soon to turn up again !
Anything can happen in soaps !
At least they played some [real] Elvis.

That's the one! What a classic.
I liked that old guy that couldnt hold a job, Arthur? I wonder how many are still alive.

The 'Arthur' character was killed off years ago.
The actor is still around.
Hey, we're getting a bit off topic here !

Saw it last night too. What a Hoot. There is no other entertainer in the World who get's as much publicity as Elvis - even today. Considering this show has a weekly audience of around twelve million at least, it certainly keeps Elvis' name alive.

In the episode tonight [Thursday], we got 'King Creole', 'Its Now Or Never' & 'The Wonder of You' !
And on 'King Creole' it was Elvis singing !
At the welcome party, the old 'uns are in one room doing Elvis karaoke, while the younger cast members are in another room moaning, and talking about 'going clubbing'.
Then the Asian Elvis gets the hump, goes to bed & the party ends early.
This 'Elvis for the older age group' stuff is not quite the image that Ernst/Roger/BMG want to promote these days !
