Why me Lord - Coast to Coast 004 (released 1999) - Import CD

It's easy for you (take 6)
It's easy for you (take 7)

Are they taking the Pish or what - did this CD come out on April 1st of that year by chance.

Just got sent these two by a good friend over e-mail...

If anyone has more info, that'd be great, but here's what I've got:

before the listed "take 6", you hear:

"Can you cool it just a little bit? Same (?) but not quite as loud... all right?"
(than another voice): "Take 6"

before the listed "take 7", you hear:

"Take 7" (sounds like the person is breaking up, about to laugh).

However, both of these are the same take, which is the undubbed master, take 2.

The talking before the songs is either fake or taken from another session.

Dr. John, Colin, Ray, any insight as to the origin of this pre-take chatter?

If you don't have it and would like to hear the chatter, let me know, too.

Hope that helps, and I hope others can help some, too!

Sorry Mike, I don't have this cd/tracks, but from what you've transcribed I'm not familiar either with the dialogue preceeding those 'takes'. Sorry I can't add anymore to it....over to Colin or Doc

BTW Mike thanks for checking out How Would You Like To Be, seems like we have it nutted out if only we could find a Tape Legend of this session/song we maybe even wiser.

BTW BTW I'm not 100% sure that the printing 'errors' on the FTD Soundtracks are actually really errors, I've been wondering for sometime if Ernst does this to make us 'investigate' the sessions more deeply....OR prolong our 'listening pleasure' of these releases

Both 'takes' are bogus.

Thanks for the info, that's what I thought. May I ask where the info came from?

Thanks again!
