Your Top 10 Movie songs, 60's only
I really enjoyed the top 10 songs of the 70's topic, so I am starting this one. What are your top 10 movie songs of the 60's. I will start
Doin The Best I Can
Cant Help Falling In Love
Return To Sender
King of the Whole Wide World
Follow That Dream
Viva Las Vegas
I Need Somebody To Lean On
Let Yourself Go
A Little Less Conversation
Clean Up Your Own Backyard
Change of Habit I really like but the production is less than stellar. Too muffled

Re: Your Top 10 Movie songs, 60's only
I'm purposefully leaving out the Can't Help Falling in Love/Return to Sender duo, as I think they're going to be on everyone's list - although oddly, despite their excellence, they're rarely songs I seek out. Heard too often, I guess.
Doin' the Best I Can
Forget Me Never
No More
King of the Whole Wide World (if we're allowed the unedited version)
They Remind Me Too Much of You
Bossa Nova Baby
I Need Somebody to Lean On
Almost in Love
Almost
Clean Up Your Own Back Yard
Doin' the Best I Can
Forget Me Never
No More
King of the Whole Wide World (if we're allowed the unedited version)
They Remind Me Too Much of You
Bossa Nova Baby
I Need Somebody to Lean On
Almost in Love
Almost
Clean Up Your Own Back Yard
Accused of being "a nerd in his 20s." I wish.

Re: Your Top 10 Movie songs, 60's only
Certainly would have been on my list had it come out in 1964 and was on the soundtrack LP. One of the crimes in Elvis music that we had to wait until the 2000s to hear this gem.

Re: Your Top 10 Movie songs, 60's only
Hard to put in order and some of the usual suspects- like RTS / CHFIL /VLV I have probably heard too often to include
but regular spins for me:
I Got Lucky
Follow That Dream
Doin The Best
Big Love Big Heartache
Little Egypt
They Remind Me Too Much of You
Comin In Loaded
You Gotta Stop (I know but loved it since the Camden days of the 70's)
Let Yourself Go
Edge of Reality
Most of the 68/69 soundtrack songs would be in there too if room
As would much of FIA LP and Spinout
loves me some 60's soundtracks

Re: Your Top 10 Movie songs, 60's only
Good topic because it will prove that there were enjoyable songs in the 60s movies contrary to most critic comments.
My choices:
Rubberneckin'
Rock A Hula
Bossa Nova
Hard Knocks
Girl Happy
C'mon Everybody
I Don't Wanna Be Tied
Because of Love
Edge of Reality
Shoppin' Around
I tried choosing songs that we have actual footage for.

Ah, you're taking the high road. I'll join in.
When I think "top 10" I consider that to be songs that are as good as Elvis got.
No surprise, the early sixties has the lion's share.

Re: Your Top 10 Movie songs, 60's only
Glad to see Angel popping up. What a Wonderful Life from FTD is stellar too IMO.
I’ve always loved Wonderful World from LALLAL. The British songwriters for Wonderful World also wrote The Fair’s Moving On, which is also great.
The remaining 7 for me would be, in no particular order:
Home is Where The Heart Is
They Remind Me Too Much of You
One Broken Heart For Sale (very underrated I think)
Little Egypt
A Boy Like Me, A Girl Like You
Let Yourself Go
I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here
