Love Me Tender and Jailhouse Rock Colorized Versions
I was talking with my neighbor a few nights ago, and I remember growing up my first introduction to those two movies were colorized versions that aired on TV. It was years later I discovered they were originally black and white. From what I've run across online, these were released on VCD. These were done back in the 80s, and let's face it, the technology needed a lot of fine tuning. Legend Films since the early 2000s have been releasing colorized films with the latest technology and I've been impressed by them. Wouldn't it be great to see these two films get updated?

The colourised version of 'Jailhouse Rock' was originally released in 'The Lost Performances' video boxset in 1992.

Re: Love Me Tender and Jailhouse Rock Colorized Versions
For those of you who are wishing for colorized movies - Elvis or otherwise- that was made 30 years ago or longer, well i don't believe it will ever get remastered in the bluray world. There was a high criticism over colorising black and whites , way back when, where it all came to an end.
But Jailhouse Rock was excellent, i believe

Re: Love Me Tender and Jailhouse Rock Colorized Versions
LMT was released on VCD years ago with Chinese subtitles. I transfered it to DVD. The coloring job is pretty awful. JR was released on VHS. I taped when it was shown on TV and transfered it to DVD. It looks better than LMT but I'm not looking forward for an upgrade.

JHR colorized was also released on Laser Disc in Japan in 1992. This is the best quality source.

I prefer to see Love Me Tender, Jailhouse Rock and King Creole in black and white.

The TV broadcast version was very good quality too.
