I think some fans are expecting an official 55th Anniversary Sony release probably around Summer of this year, but here’s an earlier non official 55th Anniversary Non Official 3-LP-set 'From Elvis In Memphis'. Available on black and clear vinyl, this limited edition - of 200 copies - celebrates the 55th Anniversary of 'From Elvis In Memphis'.

With only 200 copies being produced, doubtful that Sony would be worried. But if Sony see it, it should give them a few ideas on how they can make their release so much better. Unfortunately, and in recent years, Sony have not exactly pushed the boat out regarding presentation, especially on vinyl releases.

I understand the official release is scheduled to be released in August this year but no one will have it until spring of 2025!

I haven’t actually pursued this yet - any idea if its a dynamic pressing?

Notwithstanding, at best its going to sound identical to the FTD remasters so just a vinyl CD …. BUT still enticing

In other words, this 3LP set basically takes the format that Elvis's Legacy editions should have done on CD: The original album (not on these LPs) + outtakes and undubbed versions + live and rehearsal versions. Quite why the Legacy editions went down the twofers road for Elvis and nobody else is anybody's guess. A very strange decision.
