Re: "Elvis The 8MM Underground Films: Steamrollin' On Tour" DVD
Is this really new material or 'new' from recently released 'Sold Out' DVDs?
If really newly discovered I don't want it edited. A second here, a moment there'. I (and maybe nobody) want to watch such DVDs a hundred times because of the 'listening pleasure'. I want the films in one piece, with a concert date and that's it.
From experience: Anybody here who watches 'Medley Of Costumes' every week because of the 'listening pleasure'?

The cover shot isn't very appealing. If the films included span the years 1971-1977 a more flattering picture should have been chosen.

100% agreed here. And please, no photo slideshows, okay? This is supposed to be a video presentation. I don't know about anyone else, but photo slideshows are jarring for me and ruin the experience.yellowstone wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 4:39 pmIs this really new material or 'new' from recently released 'Sold Out' DVDs?

Nice cover! However, looks like just an edit of footage from all the sold out releases…

Looking forward to.
Previous edition was also good.
So assume this one is good too.
I know where it comes from so I'm not worried.
Good editing and good sound.
Yes, that makes it worth it for me.
Michel.

It's nothing but a cheap copy & paste job, but I enjoy these edits more than lots of the original footage.

Got it a while now, but only had the time too watch it today.
The sound is from various soundboard recordings.
The fan made footage goes from 1971 through 1977.
The last part is mostly edited from 1977 tracks.
Sure, many is released before on the Sold out series or The Final Curtain set, but it's very nice edited with the music.
You can compare it with a Star DVD, nothing really new, but clever and well put together.
The completist will always want the whole thing (so therefore there is the SoldOut 20 dvd set a very nice thing), but even for them (just like me) i was entertained enough by this one.
