It’s been enough to me for a long time. Like you I got over the years all the boxsets Sony and FTD made. And so it’s pretty complete as far as I’m concerned. I even have the Double Features series. Sony should release Pot Luck & For The Asking together on the Sony Legacy series, adding the short 1964 session. Maybe with outtakes as bonus tracks. Up to now they were never addressed. I can’t imagine how FTD could release something really new. Except revisit the 1976-77 Elvis In Concert with updated remixes and completely remastered. BTW, I have only the very early few soundboards from FTD, again, I don’t need more. And we still don’t have He Walks Besides Me and I Was The One albums that would be nice for completeness including as bonus tracks The Elvis Medley. I’d preferred from Sony because of the cost of course. The complete sessions series might be interesting for some fans, I understand that. But in my case, I would almost only get some false starts, I don’t really care about. FTD have given us the meat already.
I don’t judge people who collect the sessions series. But I’m glad somebody finally dared to ask the question: isn’t it time to say enough is enough?

I got this as I didn't buy the book, but I stopped being a completist with FTD many, many years ago.

I've paid more for some older titles I eventually decided to get years after their initial release, but I like being selective without feeling "obliged" to keep a collection going for the sake of completeness.

I try to buy FTD titles as soon as they are released. But it wasn't always like that. A few years ago I had trouble finding some titles that I'd left to buy afterwards and almost ran out of them. Today I have all the soundboards, but I'm missing 3 classic albums: Tickle Me, Love Me Tender and Paradise.
My supplier is from Holland. He said he'd sell me the new FTDs (Blue Hawaii Sessions and Stateline 1974), but he hasn't answered my emails for a few weeks now, only sends offers for imported records.

NDT are a little late as owner Trevor has just lost his mother and had her funeral last week, a very big thing in anyones life and a time when Elvis Presley does not even come into consideration. they have posted that they will return to work as normal next week so dont fret you will get it. Condolences to all at NDT

They have it in stock. Mine is due to arrive on Monday. Several others on this forum have stated likewise.

Incredibly, my BH set arrived from NDT on Friday. Hope Trevor and his family are doing better soon.

I would venture to guess that they do. My Sahara '74 set arrived from Graceland on Saturday. On the subject of BH, I just couldn't convince myself to purchase this one. I rarely give the BH soundtrack a listen. So I knew I'd have a hard time sitting through 9 takes of "Ito Eats" or others that I skip like "Moonlight Swim." I also have the original FTD of this album and that's enough for me.

I believe that I have crossed over to the other side as I no longer automatically purchase every FTD. Over the last three or so years I've skipped out on: Elvis: Las Vegas Hilton 1973; Devil In Disguise - The "Lost Album" Sessions; Las Vegas '71; Summer Of '76; and Elvis: The Blue Hawaii Session due to that fact that I already have the shows on Bootlegs or that there just isn't enough new material to warrant a re-purchase of those sessions. Hopefully, I'm still around to enjoy sessions' sets from STAX; Hollywood '75 or the Nashville '67 - 68 material.

I have this set, along with the Tahoe release, sitting on my shelf and looking very pretty. I haven't listened to either one yet, but I did peek in on them this morning just to say hi.

Isn't it about time to start talking about the next FTD to be released? I wonder what the hold up is?

Indeed it is. The next FTD should be right around the corner.

I have all the ftd's to date and have also most of the vinyl, however with the Blue Hawaii I have held back for the moment as I am quite happy with the double cd set .

For those that don't like the inferior source used for Can't Help Falling In Love takes 1-12 and can live without those takes, using the old FTD release I've put together an edit, remove tracks four to eight and replace it with this track.

Reading the booklet it looks like 3 takes are missing.

Ku-U-I-Po take 3
No More take 6
According to Keith Flynn these were not announced by mistake and don’t exist.

Slicin’ Sand take 18
This 00:12 false start is not included in this set.

Too many tantalizing 1976 soundboards to choose from, the creative cannot make up their minds.

And more than likely delayed, as this is the new norm.

Slicin' Sand - Take 18 also wasn't included on 'The Making Of Blue Hawaii' FTD Boxset.

If a take never existed it is not missing to my understanding.
That would leave a 12 second FS of "Slicin' Sand" actually missing on the set (and the same release that came with the book). This doesn't leave me exactly sleepless in all honesty.
